HOME is a documentary dance film about two teenagers, separated by time and place, who are suddenly confronted by war. How do they manage to survive when their world is on the verge of collapse? Through the diaries of 13-year-old Dutch Lieneke and 19-year-old Syrian Anwar, we experience how war drastically turns lives upside down. Despite being separated by 60 years and 4,000 kilometers, their personal stories become increasingly intertwined. Dance brings their memories to life, allowing us to sense their inner struggle with their desire to live.
